Abeid is a Master of Business Administration graduate, Bachelors of Commerce graduate with honors in Finance Option, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA K), and, highly computer literate and has
over 15 years working experience in the field of finance, audit, systems development, financial management consultancy and financial management training.
Abeid is also a member of Kenya Institute of Management of good standing. Also a consultant in company of the year awards a KIM initiative.
Over the last 15 years, Mr. Gatimu has acquired extensive experience in areas of audit and assurance accounting, training, taxation, company secretarial, business advisory, due diligence, project feasibility and product costing. He has also been involved in various computerization projects and in systems change over. In financial consultancy Abeid has played key roles in various assignment among them; financial due diligence on behalf of Acumen Fund, COMESA (CBC) financial regulatory framework study in banking and Insurance, World bank Financial management Supervision on funded projects. World Bank / Arid Land project monitoring and evaluation assignment. Other include pre-funding survey by USAID Zambia, evaluation of Ndege Chai Sacco, and preparation of financial and procedure manual, evaluation of several micro finance institution among other key assignments.
In the context of audit and assurance, Mr. Gatimu has handled a client portfolio in the sectors of, NGO’s, donor funded projects, Civil Societies, horticulture, construction, manufacturing, trading, service industries, investments, Civil Society Organizations; Sole Proprietors, Partnerships hospitality and charitable organizations. The ownership structure of clients ranged from owner-controlled businesses to medium and large organizations with diverse management.
